FindR aims to address the issue of waste caused by lost items on a global scale.
Billions USD are lost each year in the world only for lost smartphones & devices; and much more for general items which are lost and never recovered.
We aim to help people recover their items, cards, bags, wallets, passports, documents and devices of any kind, even their most valuable items, and therefore help (a bit) to contribute to a greener world.
Who are we?
We are a team of entrepreneurs from different origins within the design and tech industry who likes to create, design and develop projects with a purpose. FindR is a small and no office company. Our team works remotely using nowadays organization tools and low code (but safe and scalable) technical infrastructures.
Our products are manufactured in different countries such as the USA, Europe and Asia, following appropriates and careful sourcing processes, which aims to deliver the best products and services for helping people to recover their lost items.
How much impact can we have?
How many documents, cards, passports, driving licenses, smartphones, sunglasses, devices and tools of any genres are lost every days in the world?
The world's waste from lost items is estimated to be over 150 billion USD per year, and this is likely an underestimated figure.
In the past decade, we thought that the internet of objects would have solve the lost & found challenge, and the item loss waste, using technology (beacons, wearables, nearables, etc.).
But it’s not.
So we came with the simple idea to help people find their lost items simply using QR codes coupled with a strong branding & message and create a network with Apps where any item finders can meets with their respective owners.
FindR today aims to become the lost & found network which promotes kindness and honesty, helping people from all over the world to recover their items. It’s also a reminder of how kind people can be, if there’s an easy opportunity to help out.
Why QR codes, and why us?
The lost item waste is a huge issue. ‘Till now, not one company in the world has ever succeeded in eradicating this scourge. From young startups to big organizations, this issue is here waiting for a straight forward answer.
At FindR, we think that QR codes can be the solution to this problem: A kind of extra layer of “Insurance”.
QR codes has been invented by Mr. Masahiro Hara, engineer at Denso Wave, an automotive company, and the first functional purpose of the QR code system was to facilitate keeping track of the types and numbers of automobile parts.
Thanks to Mr. Hara and Denso Wave (and the free use of their technology for standard purposes), FindR’s vision is now to extend the QR code’s original purpose, by delivering affordable and easy-to-use solutions to prevent misplaced or lost items in a smart and efficient way: at low cost, provided by human interconnexions.
Which channels are we using?
We aim to partner with recognized retailers, organizations, brands… also administrations, schools and universities, from all over the world, for distributing FindR products at large.
We sell “phygital” products (Physical + Digital): unique QR code products using the FindR App and QR code Wallet via our online store.
Our App and its features are FREE of use, with no subscriptions.
A significant part of our revenues is dedicated to reforestation programs in order to be 100% carbon-free from day one, and we grant a part of our revenues to a lottery in order to incentive items finders to behave positively and get rewarded for their kindness.
How can you join the movement?
Our Partner program is dedicated to technical R&D in different areas such as opening our technical platform and API to third party developers, Apps designers and tech companies with FindR x Developers.
We are also looking for artists, designers, creative studios from all over the world willing to adhere to FindR’s concept and ready to give to FindR x Artists some impulse.
Last but not least we also looking forward to work hand by hand with enlighten retailers and brands from all industries willing to join FindR’s long term mission. FindR x Brands aims to enable all professionals to get closer to their clients, by protecting them and the products they manufacture or distribute.
